Always keen for a challenge, she is enjoying learning about animal eye health, diseases and treatments. Danijela began her journey in the veterinary field in 2006 through a high school work experience placement — and never looked back. She started her career in a small general practice clinic, where she developed a strong interest in dentistry and spent 10 years building her skills and deepening her knowledge.
In 2016, Danijela transitioned into ophthalmology, seeking a new challenge, and quickly discovered a deep passion for the field. One of her favourite parts of the job is seeing patients regain their vision after cataract surgery — especially witnessing the emotional moment when they see their owners again for the very first time.
Outside of work, Danijela leads a full and vibrant home life. She’s a proud mum to three young children who keep her on her toes and constantly entertained. Her home is shared with a lovable cat named Tucker, a cheeky Indian Ringneck parrot called Sky — who, amusingly, adores Danijela’s husband despite being rescued by her — and a 180L fish tank that brings a calming touch to the daily chaos.
